TABUK CITY, Kalinga August 18 – A 23-year old motorcycle driver died after his vehicle crashed on the road hitting a steel sign at Mapaoay, Ipil, here, Thursday.
Senior Superintendent Brent Majaco, provincial director of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the fatality as Jimboy Binuloc Layugan, 23 years old, single and a resident of Nambaran, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was driving his motorcycle when he lost control of the steering bar that caused it to crash into the pavement and hit a steel signage on the side of the road.
The victim was rushed to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital for medical treatment but he was declared on arrival and his relatives brought home his remains to be given the necessary wake and burial.
