BOKOD, Benguet – A 20-year old truck driver died while his two passengers who were doing repair works on their vehicle along the Bokod-Kabayan road, particularly at Karadig, Poblacion, here, Tuesday evening.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Dexter Casio, 20, single, without driver’s license and a native resident of Cobabeng, Poblacion, Bokod, Benguet while the injured passengers were named as Charlie Damortis, 21, resident of Kawal, Bobok, Bokod and Ceasar Julian, 30, and a resident of Bolo, Poblacion, Bokod, Benguet.
Initial police investigation that a mini dump truck owned by Irenio Alingay of Buyagan, La Trinidad, Benguet was bound for the junction of Ambuclao road when it accidentally rammed into the truck driven by the victim that was parked on the right side of the road before resting on its left side.
The three individuals were rushed to the Dennis Molintas Memorial Hospital for medical treatment but the victim expired while undergoing close medical supervision while his two companions are still undergoing treatment.
