BAGUIO CITY – Two helpers of a water delivery company were hurt after their companion attempted to burn them alive with the use of gasoline in their barracks at Camp 7 here Monday dawn.
Senior Superintendent George Daskeo, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the frustrated murder victims as Denver Retotal Gaytec and Patrick Hambon Buena while he named the suspect as No well Thomas, all temporary residing at Camp 7, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and the suspect, who were all helpers of a water delivery company In the area, came home to their barracks after a drinking spree and while the duo were talking with each other, the suspect allegedly got irked and suddenly grabbed a bottle of gasoline, threw it to the victims and lighted them which resulted to them suffering from multiple burnt injuries on the different parts of their bodies.
The victims were immediately rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment for their burnt wounds.
Probers are still conducting an investigation to ascertain the real motive behind the said burning incident.
