While competition and most of the media landscape are still in deep slumber from the previous night New Year’s Eve Revelry, Bombo Radyo Philippines, the No.1 Radio Network in the Country, is up and about, as it starts the year 2018 with the annual Top Level Management Conference (TLMC), here in Iloilo City, the seat of government of the Network.
Bombo Radyo Philippines’ Chairman, Dr. Rogelio M. Florete, bangs the gavel with the theme: “Levelling Up to the Radio of the New Generationm.” The media mogul who has steered Bombo Radyo Philippines for decades has passed on the baton to his daughter, Ms. Margaret Ruth C. Florete, as the President/CEO, to assure the loyal radio listeners in continuing the Bombo Radyo Culture on giving to them the news first, fast and right.
In her State of the Network Address (SONA), Ms. Florete emphasized the unique character of Bombo Radyo Philippines in getting the news right from the center of the action, whether it is in the streets of war-torn Marawi City or in the hinterlands of Maasin, Iloilo, or in the concrete jungles of Metro Manila.
The cloistered setting of St. Clement’s Retreat House is an ideal place for the week-long TLMC of Bombo Radyo Philipines. as it takes a long pause to carry on the learnings of the past year and launch like a well-oiled machinery the Network’s mission to serve the public by way of relevant news and information and life-changing socio-cultural projects.
The integration of Bombo Radyo’s strong and relevant content coming from its nationwide presence in 24 key cities will be made available to the new platforms of the information age or in the radio of the new generation – www.bomboradyo.com and the Bombo Radyo mobile app.
Bombo Radyo’s TLMC is an annual ritual attended by its senior officers, area and station managers from 31 Bombo Radyo and Star FM Stations located in 24 key cities nationwide.
This year’s TLMC will culminate, in yet, another, ground breaking cultural project of Bombo Radyo Philppines: The Bombo Music Festival. Being launched nationwide, the Bombo Music Festival aims to give Music and Culture its rightful place in the lives of the Filipino.
The Grand Finals of the 12 Finalists of the Bombo Music Festival will be held at the Rose Memorial Hall of the Central Philippine University on January 6, 2018.
