When it comes to the summer months, residents of Baguio either while their way at home or go to the lowlands to spend some time with their relatives there.
On the other hand, people living in the lowlands make a real effort to cone up to Baguio to experience the cooler temperature and the fabled “pine-scented” air which we here must already be immune to.
But however we spend our summers, we almost always try to go through it as much as possible with family members and close friends,
And if also possible, if we can afford it, we go to a new venue each time around in able to experience the latest possible happenings or gimmicks as the younger crowd would describe it.
For us living here in the mountainous areas like Baguio and the rest of the Cordilleras, we would usually prefer going to places like the beach of the provinces in the Ilocos Region and to the hot springs like those in Asin and Itogon.
However, for those living in the lowlands, they have a multitude of possible scenic spots to visit here like Burnham Park, Mines View Park, Wright Park, the Mansion, Camp John Hay, and a lot more.
Wherever we spend our summer this year, let’s all enjoy the pristine beauty that God has created for us to appreciate and let’s all savor the unique experiences that He would want us to go through.
Life is all about experiences – a series of experiences that either teach us a lesson, make us stronger in both mind and/or spirit, or show us what we would need to do if we go through the same or a similar experience again in the future.
So, let’s all enjoy our summer this year, and in the years to come, and become a better and wiser person that we possibly can. Have a happy summer everyone!
