DANGLAS, Abra August 08 – A 74-year old farmer died after he was hit by his own carabao near his farm at Domeguiay, Caupasan, here, Monday.
Police authorities identified the victim as Gregorio Arcal Pilor, 74, and a resident of barangay Pidipid, La Paz, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed the victim went to tend his sugar cane plantation when his carabao allegedly went unruly that caused the animal to hit the victim with his horn until he fell bloodied on the ground.
Relatives of the victim who happen to pass by the plantation saw the bloodied body of the victim lying on the ground near his carabao that planted them to seek police assistance.
Responding police operatives and elements of the Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) team found out that the victim sustained wound on his head and other parts of his body inflicted by a carabaos horn.
The victim’s cadaver was no longer subjected to autopsy as per the decision of his relatives who immediately brought home his body for him to be given the appropriate wake and burial.
