Farmer shoots farmer in Bangued

BANGUED, Abra June 20 – A 54-year old farmer was injured after he was allegedly shot by his nephew in their residence at Sta. Rosa, here, Saturday.

            Police authorities identified the victim as Emilio Palo Rafal, 54, married, farmer, while the suspect was identified as Marlon Castillo Rafal, 41, married, farmer, and nephew of the victim. Both are residents of barangay Sta Rosa, Bangued, Abra.

            Initial police investigation showed that the victim was sleeping outside their residence when the suspect arrived and without any reason shot his uncle twice.

            The victim was rushed to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment and is now confined for further observation.

            The suspect is now the subject of a manhunt operation by responding police operatives.
