SABANGAN, Mountain Province – A 19-year old security guard of the Hydroelectric Development Corporation (HEDCOR_ Sabangan, Inc. was invited by police operatives for questioning after he allegedly discharged his service firearm that inflicted heavy damages to the glass door of the company’s power house at sitio Naubeng, barangay Namatek here shortly before midnight Sunday.
Senior Superintendent Oliver Enmodias, provincial director of the Mountain Province Police Office, identified the invited individual as Denver D. Banggalat, 19, security guard of HEDCOR Sabangan, Inc. and a resident of Camatagan , Sabangan, Mountain Province.
Initial police investigation showed personnel of the Sabangan Municipal Police Station received a call from concerned citizens on the alleged burst of gunfire within the vicinity of the HEDCOR power house.
The duty guard informed probers that he accidentally squeezed the trigger of his gauge 12 shotgun hitting the glass door of the power house and subsequently inflicting damages on the said facility.
Probers took under custody the service firearm of the Sidekick Security agency and are now conducting an investigation on the real cause of the incident.
