SAN CARLOS, Pangasinan march 16 – A 52-year old handicraft maker died after he was shot to death by two still unidentified assailants in front of his house at Pao, Mestizo Norte, here, recently.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Bernabe Hermogeno Manzon, 52, married, handicraft maker and a resident of Pao, Mestizo, San Carlos City, Pangasinan.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was standing in front of his house and was about to cook food for breakfast when two still unidentified armed men on board a car suddenly arrived and shot him several times at close range before immediately fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
The victim was rushed to the Virgen Milagrosa Medical Center for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians due to multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of his head and body.
Probers were able to recover from the crime scene six spent shells of a calibre .45 pistol which was used by the suspects in the perpetration of the crime.
