Jobless man hurt in Bangued stabbing incident

BANGUED, Abra November 10 – A 23-year old jobless man was injured after he was allegedly stabbed by a knife-wielding butcher while playing cards during a wake at Zone 3, here, Thursday.

Police authorities identified the injured individual as Louie Aspacio Babida, 23, single, unemployed, and a resident of Zone 3, Bangued, Abra while the suspect was named as Hendrix Viloria Buenafe alias Abreco, 42, single, butcher and a resident of Zone 1, Bangued Abra.

Initial police investigation showed that the victim was playing cards with the suspect and some companions while attending a wake in the place of incident.

After a few moments, the victim and the suspect were engaged in a heated altercation that resulted to a fistfight until the latter stabbed the former on his chest while his companion hit him with a chair.

The victim was rushed to the Seares Memorial Hospital for medical treatment while responding police operatives were able to arrest the suspect for him to face the appropriate charges to be filed against him.
