LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A 24-year old man was injured after he was stabbed by a knife-wielding individual with the vicinity of the trading post at Pico, here, Sunday night.
Chief Inspector Benson Macliing, chief of the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, identified the victim as David Jones Budkingen Sab-it, 24, single, native resident of KM 18, Ambasador, Tublay, Benguet while the suspect remains unidentified.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was on his way home after coming from a bar along Pico road when upon reaching the place of incident, he met a male person who suddenly slapped home on his face that resulted to a commotion between them.
The suspect allegedly brought out a knife and stabbed the victim once on his chest that prompted the latter to run towards the municipal hall where he collapsed while in front of the government facility.
Concerned security guards immediately brought the victim to the Benguet General Hospital (BeGH) for medical treatment while the suspect is now the subject of a manhunt operation.
