PIDIGAN, Abra – A 24-year old room boy was injured after he was fired upon by repeatedly by two still unidentified motorcycle-riding armed men in front of their residence at Pangtod, here, Monday dawn.
Superintendent Mark Pespes, officer-in-charge of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the victim as Bernie Baje Vasquez, 24, single, room boy of 5 star hotel at Makati City and a resident of Pangtud, Pidigan, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and his companion went to attend a wake in the neighbrhood when he decided to go home.
However, the victim was followed by motorcycle-riding armed men that forced him to accelerate his motorcycle in order to reach home.
Upon reaching their residence, the armed fired at him several times hitting him on his back that exited on his front.
Responding police operatives recovered from the crime scene five spent shells and a deformed slug of a calibre .45 pistol which was used by the suspects in the perpetration of the crime.
