LINGAYEN, Pangasinan February 04 – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP), through Provincial Resolution No. 500-2017 passed during its regular session on January 30, hailed the Mother Goose Special School System, Inc. for producing a winning team in the recently-held National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) held in Pagadian City, Zamboanga Peninsula recently.
Prior to the national contest, the radio broadcasting (english) team of the Dagupan City – based learning institution secured the championship in the regional level, besting other entries of 13 schools divisions of the Department of Education in the region.
The winning team is composed of James Matthew DG Dimaano, Naomi Julienne O. Ravago, Jeremiah Ang-Angco, Errol V. Nabua, Mardean Roma Q. de Guzman, Sheena Kimberly E. Villegas and Riza Mae B. Garcia.
Recognizing the vital role of print and broadcast communication in the development and enhancement of the community, Resolution author Jeremy Agerico Rosario said “the success of these young students could be a way to motivate and encourage them and other individuals and groups to understand more the importance of journalism in a friendly and healthy competition.
The radio broadcasting team trained by Lily Ferrer and Nena Mangsat placed 3rd (best radio production) and 2nd (best in scriptwriting).
NSPC is an annual gathering of the best campus journalists/broadcasters all over the country.
