Last January 30, 2017, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Baguio-Benguet Chapter, Inc. hosted the Business Meeting and Fellowship Dinner with the four-man delegation of the Canadian Trade Mission to the Philippines particularly Baguio City.
Mr. and Mrs. Tony and Linda Insigne head the said Mission together with Mr. Lou Maieron and Mr. Frank Miele. The purpose of the Trade Mission is to promote economic opportunities between the Philippines and Canada in general and between Baguio City and City of Vaughan in particular, since these two are sister cities.
During the Business Meeting, Mr. Lou Maieron who became an “entrepreneur” since 1983 discussed about Aquaculture in Ontario. While Mr. Frank Miele one of the member of the Trade Mission delegations presented the Everforce energy, a magnetic energy product.
Meanwhile, during the fellowship dinner, the PCCI-BBCI represented by its President Mr. Modesto B. Imayaho and the Fil-Canadian Association of Vaughan (FCAV) represented by its President Ms. Linda Insigne entered into a Memorandum of Cooperation. The signing of the memorandum was witnessed by members and officers of both organizations.
The objective of the said Memorandum of Cooperation was to extend the benefits of honorary membership of their respective organization for the purposes of better understanding and cooperation.
Further, that both parties shall cooperate closely and continuously maintain communications with each other, implement projects in the realization of both their common objectives.
Finally, both organizations planned an exchange programs and activities in the near future.
