Unlicensed Firearm, High Explosive surrendered to Abra Police

An unlicensed firearm and a high explosive were surrendered to Police authorities in Abra.

The first surrender took place August 16, 2018, at around 8:00 AM, where Vergelio O. Ortega, 35, married, farmer and resident of Brgy. Talamapak, Lacub, Abra, surrendered to personnel of Lacub MPS a caliber 38 revolver, without serial number, no markings and no ammunition.

The firearm is in the custody of Lacub MPS for documentation prior turn over to PNP Crime Laboratory Office.

Later that day, at around 11:00 AM, Barangay Chairman Eugenio Buentipo voluntarily surrendered a 40mm High Explosive to the PNP personnel after the San Juan Municipal Police Station implemented pulong-pulong in barangay Pattaoig, San Juan Abra.

The said explosive is under the custody of San Juan MPS for documentation prior turn-over to the EOD personnel of Abra PPO.
