BAGUIO CITY – A motorcycle rider died while his back rider was injured after their motorcycle rammed into two vehicles along Kennon Road, Camp 7, Tuesday afternoon.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Kervin Pal-a Nicholas, and a resident of Tay-ac Rosario, La Union. His injured back-rider was identified as Homer Cabbigat Teg-ad, 20 and a resident of Loakan Access Road, Baguio City.
Based on the report of the Baguio Police, the two motorcycle riders were traversing the road going down in Camp 7. Suddenly, Nicholas lose control of the handle bar of his vehicle.
The rider lost control of the motorcycle that eventually encroached into the opposite lane until it rammed into a container van.
Further, it proceeded on its descending direction and again collided with another container truck that caused the occupants to be thrown off their motorcycle.
Responding police officers and concerned bystanders immediately rushed the said individuals to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment but Nicholas died while undergoing close medical supervision for the multiple injuries that he sustained from the said accident.
Probers are still conducting an investigation on the cause of the said accident. By Dexter A. See
