BUGUIAS, Benguet – A 22-year old man died while his two other companions were injured when their vehicle allegedly rammed into the railings along the Halsema Highway, particularly at sitio Nakiangan, Abatan, here, Friday morning
Police authorities identified the fatality as Erwin Yagyagen Bilog, 22, driver of the ill-fated vehicle while his injured companions were named as Delfin Maggack and Dominador Guanna, both 22.
Probers disclosed that the said individuals were on board a Tamaraw Fx that came from Bangao, Buguias and was en route to Abatan when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle causing it to ram into the installed railings on the side of the road.
Concerned residents and responding rescuers immediately rushed the occupants of the vehicle to the nearest health facility but the driver was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians.
Traffic investigators are still conducting an investigation on the cause of the said accident.
