TABUK CITY, Kalingga – A 22-year old motorcycle driver died while his 20year old back rider was injured after their vehicle bumped a parked Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) at Appas, here, Saturday.
Senior Superintendent Victor Wanchakan, provincial director of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the victim as William Annogui Jr, 22, a resident of Magsaysay, Tabuk City, Kalinga while he hamed the injured back rider as Winkel Amlos Siwag, 20, a resident of Bangad, Tinglayan, Kalinga.
Initial police investigation showed the duo were on board a motorcycle travelling along the road when their vehicle reportedly bumped the left side portion of the parked SUV.
Because of the impact of the collision, the victims were thrown off the motorcycle and banged their heads and bodies on the concrete pavement causing them multiple injuries.
The two individuals were rushed to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital for medical treatment but the driver was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians while his back rider was still undergoing observation.
