TUBA, Benguet – A 39-year old motorcycle driver died after his vehicle collided head on with a truck along Kennon road, particularly at Camp 6-Camp 4 here around 6 am Wednesday.
Chief Inspector Jim HIlario, chief of the Tuba Municipal Police Station, identified the fatality as Alfredo Ronquillo Sotelo, 39, married, and a resident of Bolo, San Jacinto, Pangasinan while the arrested truck driver was named as Henry Bedal Moguil, 58, married, and a resident of 40 Holyghost Hill, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that both vehicles came from opposite direction and upon reaching a sharp curve, collided with each other although both drivers tried their best to evade such collision.
The motorcycle driver was rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment while the truck driver was brought to the Tuba Municipal Police Station awaiting the filing of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide and damage to property charges against him before the Benguet prosecutor’s office.
