CALANASAN, Apayao – An individual was slightly injured after a military truck was involved in an accident during security deployment by the Philippine Army at sitio Madalgodog, barangay Butao, here, Sunday.
The said incident transpired while the military truck was en route to barangays Namaltugan and Langgao for the deployment of military personnel to assist in ensuring the secure and free conduct of the May 12, 2025 mid-term elections in the area.
The injured individual is a member of the Philippine
Army civilian armed auxiliary group who is part of the security personnel that was supposed to be deployed in the area.
The Apayao Provincial Joint Security Coordinating Council (PJSCC) stated that the said incident is an isolated one as the situation in the are remains under control for the realization of a peaceful and orderly election as the province has always been orderly and peaceful in the conduct of the previous elections.
