BAGUIO CITY – A 31-year old labourer died while his two other companions were injured after they were fired upon by a still unidentified gunman inside an establishment at San Vicente, here, Wednesday night.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Julius Pama Ordiz, 31, while those injured were named as Roy Soaygan Laroco, 35; and Jomel Esmale Viray, 20, all singles, laborers, and residents of San Vicente, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed five individuals were having a drinking session inside an establishment in the place of incident when their two companions decided to leave them and go to rest.
After a few moments, a still unidentified individual, who was armed with two calibre .45 pistols on both hands, suddenly entered the establishment and immediately fired at the victims several times.
Ordiz, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds on his head and other parts of his body, was declared dead on the spot by responding police operatives and elements of the Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) team while Laroco sustained a lone gunshot wound on his left forearm and Viray sustained a lone gunshot wound on his leg.
Both the injured individuals were rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment and are now undergoing close medical supervision.
The motive of the shooting incident is still being subjected to further investigation by the concerned police personnel.
