LUNA, Apayao – Senator Robin Padilla’s office has provided much-needed assistance to 1,000 families in Apayao who were adversely affected by Super Typhoon Egay through a payout program held in BGVJr. Memorial Sports Center in Luna.
Executed in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the payout has brought relief to the affected families in their time of need through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation.
The distribution of cash aid took place today, August 14, 2023, across multiple locations in the province starting at the BGVJr. Memorial Sports Center in Poblacion, Luna, where 217 individuals from Luna and another 200 from Calanasan received their much-needed support.
This afternoon, beneficiaries from Flora and Santa Marcela comprising 180 and 127 households, respectively, are set to receive their share from the same source of assistance at the Santa Marcela Gymnasium.
Tomorrow, August 15, the distribution will continue at the EKB Memorial Gymnasium in Poblacion, Pudtol, benefiting families from Pudtol and Conner. This approach ensures that a broad spectrum of communities in the province will receive the support they require during this challenging time.
Each beneficiary is set to receive 5,000 pesos for essential needs, including food, rehabilitation of shelter, and other immediate necessities.
This support from Sen. Padilla’s office has made a significant difference in the lives of the typhoon affected families, providing them essential resources to recover from the devastating impact of the typhoon. By JCM
