La Trinidad, Benguet – Eleven drug personalities were arrested while more than P30 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents during an aggressive anti-drug operation last week.
Baguio City Police Office (CPO) arrested 6 drug personalities, while Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO) arrested 3 drug personalities, and Apayao Police Provincial Office (PPO) arrested 2 drug personalities during the unrelenting and uncompromising anti-drug operations.
In Baguio City, the arrested drug personalities were identified as Kyle Cariño, 23; Darvin Jason Della, 25; Cristina Escopete, 35; Steven Donne, 27; Jason Prodon, 32; and a 17-year-old minor.
In Kalinga, the arrested individuals were identified as Raechelle Kitongan Canao, 29; Augusto Binuloc Gunnawa, 38; and Arnel Langao Wadwad, 26.
In Apayao, the arrested individuals were identified as Rosemarie E. Guitierrez, 27; and Silvino Likigan Calawag, 60
The weeklong anti-illegal drugs operation conducted has resulted in the seizure of a total of 44.293 grams of suspected shabu, 206,000 grams of dried marijuana leaves at stalks, and 120 ml of Marijuana Oil with an overall Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P24,794,060.00.
All arrested suspects are now facing charges for violation R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Also, in a separate anti-illegal drug operation in Benguet, 9 marijuana plantation site were discovered in the municipalities of Kibungan and Bakun.
The joint operatives of 1st Benguet Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) and Special Action Force (SAF) were able to discover 29,020 pieces of Fully-Grown Marijuana Plants (FGMJP) with Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P5,984,000.00 and 4,500 pieces of marijuana seedlings with an SDP amounting to P180,000.00.
All discovered marijuana plants and seedlings were uprooted and burned on-site by the operatives while investigations are ongoing to identify possible cultivators of the said marijuana plantation sites.
