LUNA, Apayao – The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) along with SWAD-Apayao trained 11 sustainable livelihood program (SLP) associations in Luna, Apayao for the Organizational Development and Entrepreneurial Management on July 25-26, 2024.
The training is important, aimed at providing crucial knowledge and skills, including social media business page setup, basic photo editing, leadership, management, communication, and financial literacy.
Sixty members from the benefitting associations were capacitated for two-days as part of the development agenda of Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr. to make yApayao lives better through the success of livelihood programs.
PSWDO-SLP Focal person Premadona S. Salazar, in an interview, said the capacity building activity was funded by the provincial government under its ASENG program.
The office likewise conveyed good feedback from the participants with some saying that after the training, their organizations will be utilizing their learning and improving their outputs.
The training shall also be conducted provincial-wide in all municipalities in the coming months.
SLP associations in Calanasan, Pudtol and Luna were the first to undergo such training, while other municipalities will have their schedules next. By Arjay Baysa
