LUNA, Apayao – A total of 119 police officers completed and officially graduated from their Basic Internal Security Operations Course (BISOC) on August 22, 2024 to improve their tactical abilities and operational readiness through a rigorous 45-day training.
BISOC training seeks to enhance the police force’s individual efficacy and capacity for internal security operations, as well as the initiatives and mindsets that will best enable them to fulfill their obligations.
The graduates were presented with their certificates of completion with pride by PBGen. Rogelio Z. Raymundo, Jr. the Deputy Regional Director for Administration of Police Regional Office-Cordillera Administrative Region, who served as the guest of honor and speaker of the program.
To officially mark the graduates’ completion of the aforementioned course, PLtCol. Fabro declared the graduates, and they ceremoniously received their BISOC badge and donning of the berets led by PBGen. Raymundo, Jr.
The ceremony was held at Camp Gov Elias K Bulut Sr and Training Center, Sta. Lina in this town.
The graduates are the fourth batch of the province’s BISOC graduates who belong to Class Cl-02-013-RCOR-2024-032 and Cl-02-013-RCOR-2024-033 “ALIGTAK”. The Apayao Police Provincial Office and Regional Mobile Force Battalion make up these two classes.
Present during the event were the Chief of Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division, PCol. Charles L. Domallig; the Provincial Director of Apayao PPO, PCol. Jefferson P. Carriaga; the Acting Training Manager of the Regional Special Training Unit-CAR, PLtCol. Arvin B. Fabro; the board member Kyle Mariah Chelsea Bulut-Cunan and the proud families and friends of the graduates.
“On behalf of Gov. Butzy and the people of Apayao, I offer my deepest congratulations,” Bulut-Cunan said in her statement while talking about the significance of educational training.
“Your hard work has brought you here, but your journey is just beginning, may you always feel proud of this moment. And remember, the more you have sweated in training, the less you will bleed in battle” she added.
Meantime, in his message PBGen. Raymundo, Jr. congratulated the graduates, expressing his happiness for their successful completion of the BISOC training. “Carry with you the lessons, camaraderie, and spirit of service that shaped your time in BISOC as you advance in your careers” he added.
Under the direction of Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr., the provincial government is providing financial support for this training program in an effort to protect the province of Apayao against insurgency, terrorism and criminal activity. By Krizza Joy Castillo
