TUBA, Benguet – Twelve people, including five minors, were arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having found in their possession suspected illegal drugs and assorted drug paraphernalia during an alleged pot session inside a drug den at Block 19, Lot 21, Marville Homes, Tadiangan, here, recently.
Senior Inspector Jim Hilario, chief of the Tuba Municipal Police Station, identified the arrested drug suspects as Froilan Espinoza Ringo, 25, native and a resident of Fairview, Baguio City; Michael Provadora Novesteras, 22, single, native of Ilocus Sur and a resident in Lower T- Alonzo, Magsaysay, Baguio City; Rendel Nayad Rillera, 18, single, native and a resident of Aurora Hill, Baguio City; Alex Apao Delos Santos, 32 ,single, native of Patukanay, Tayum, Abra and a resident in Campo Filipino, Baguio City; Nollie Taduan Quinto, 25, native of Binmaley, Pangasinan and a resident of Quezon Hill, Baguio City; Denver Agbuya Buting, 25, single, native of Sagada, Mountain Province and a resident of Quezon Hill, Baguio City and Mitchelle Batil Zambrana, 29, widow, storekeeper, native of San Fabian, Pangasinan and a resident of Upper Quezon Hill, Baguio City while he refused to divulge the identities of the minors who were aged 16 to 17.
Confiscated from them by the operating troops were various sachets of shabu with still undetermined volume and assorted illegal drug paraphernalia used in their alleged pot session.
The arrested adults and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Tuba Municipal Police Station for documentation pending the filing of appropriate charges against them before the provincial prosecutor’s office while the arrested minors were turned over to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office for proper disposition and counselling.
