LA TRINIDAD, Benguet November 12 – Twelve drug personalities were successfully arrested while P8.2 million worth of illegal drugs were seized by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents during the implementation of separate anti-illegal drug operations in the different parts of the Cordillera from November 4-10, 2024.
Throughout the weeklong campaign, PRO-CAR conducted 25 anti-illegal drug operations across the region. These operations resulted in the confiscation of 36,625 pieces of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants, 13,125 pieces of marijuana seedlings, 0.70 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, 3.00 ml of marijuana oil, and 53.34 grams of suspected shabu, with an overall value of P8,212,796.00.
Additionally, the operations led to the arrest of 12 drug personalities, seven of whom were identified as High Value individuals, while five were classified as Street Level Individuals.
The most notable operations took place in Benguet, where the Cabalyero Cops of Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) seized illegal drugs worth P6,665,588.00, and in Kalinga, where the Lumin-awa Cops of Kalinga PPO eradicated P1,500,000.00 worth of marijuana plants.
Further, in Baguio City, the Napino Cops of Baguio City Police Office seized suspected shabu valued at P23,884.00, while in Ifugao, the Haggiyo Cops of Ifugao PPO confiscated illegal drugs worth P17,884.00, and in Abra, the Abante Cops Abra PPO also seized P5,440.00 worth of suspected shabu.
