LUNA, Apayao – The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) conducted an Adolescent Health Symposium August 2, 2024 held at San Francisco Multi-Purpose Gymnasium as means to support and guide the youth in facing teenage problems with some 127 students from the San Francisco National Agricultural and Trade High School (SFNATHS).
During the activity, panel discussions, lectures, and workshops on a range of topics related to adolescent health, including the promotion of mental and physical well-being, suicide prevention, teenage pregnancy, gender and youth empowerment, among others were held.
Through the symposium, the participants hopefully gained a deeper understanding of the complex issues facing adolescents today which they can use in developing strategies for promoting their overall well-being.
Additionally, the symposium served as a platform for young people to learn from health experts and acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their health. By Michelle Acantilado & El Jahrison Aquino
