LUNA, Apayao — Fourteen (14) tourist guides from Lussok Cave and Marag received training on tourist reception and guiding techniques from the Provincial Tourism Services Office (PTSO) on June 5, 2024, at the LMP Building, Apayao Eco Tourism and Sports Complex in Luna.

In the highly competitive tourism sector, delivering exceptional customer service is crucial. Key players must meet customer needs effectively to ensure satisfaction. As tourism continues to grow in Apayao, an increasing number of students are pursuing studies in this field, and the demand for skilled tourism and hospitality workers extends beyond Philippine borders.
The seminar covered various topics, including tourism awareness, good grooming, communication skills, personality development, social graces and etiquette, basic tour guiding, and advanced tour guiding techniques.
The training concluded with a workshop critique, seminar evaluation, and closing ceremonies. By Michelle Acantilado
