BAGUIO CITY – The 14th YMCA Invitational Basketball Tournament is in its last stage of finalization with the organizing committee marking July 22, 2017 as its opening day at 6:00 pm at the YMCA gymnasium, here.
Already an institutionalized program of the YMCA of Baguio, Incorporated, the basketball tilt will be open for participation of basketball enthusiasts from the different government and non-government agencies, public and private institutions, clubs and organizations.
Following the tournament guidelines, the tournament shall be a venue for fellowship through the game of basketball among YMCA members and non-members alike. The organizing committee also has opened on June 29, 2017 through invitations registration and entries of interested teams to participate in the event.
Participating teams shall also be assessed an Php 8,000 registration fee. Deadline of submission of entries and registration fees will be on July 17, 2017 in gallery form. Following the submission of entries will be an orientation of team coaches on the tournament rules and mode of play on the 19th of July 2017, at the YMCA Function Hall annex at 5:00 pm.
Meanwhile, submitted team entries will also be subjected to screening by the committee to maintain balance of teams and players for a better and orderly competition.
