Flora, Apayao – A total of 155 beneficiaries from various barangays in Flora received PhP6,450 each after completing 15 days of work through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Apayao facilitated the distribution of wages on April 23, 2024. Lone District Representative Eleanor C. Bulut-Begtang and Supervising Labor Employment Officer Jane Y. Adalan spearheaded the compensation program during the Inauguration and Turn Over ceremony of the Atok Elementary School Instructional Building and San Jose Integrated School in Flora.
TUPAD is a flagship program of DOLE and is made possible here in the province through funding and support from Bulut-Begtang and in partnership with local government units. Its goal is to provide emergency employment to displaced, underemployed, and seasonal workers, including farmers, to help improve their living conditions during crises.
