BAGUIO CITY – A 44-year old man was arrested by police operatives after he allegedly raped a 17-year old female student during a drinking session in his house at Brawer Road, Campo Filipino here around 11:50 pm Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent Rolando F. Miranda, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the arrested rape suspect as Eldefonso Capuz Fegueras, 44, a resident of Brawer Road, Campo Filipino, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and other minors, together with the suspect, had a drinking spree inside the suspect’s house. After a few moments, her minor companions left the house leaving the victim and the suspect continuing with the drinking session.
At around 11:50 pm, the victim awoke and was surprised to see herself and the suspect both naked and lying together.
She immediately sent a text message to a friend for them to report the matter to the police in order to effect the arrest of the suspect.
Responding police operatives arrested the suspect and the case is still subject to the conduct of further investigation before the filing of the appropriate charges against him before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
