An 18-month old baby girl recently benefited from the Zumba for a Cause that was conducted by the Pangkat Ugnayaw or the city hall dance troupe that was held at the Rose Garden last October 28, 2023.
Sherwin Mole, Administrative Officer III of the City Budget office and the group leader of the Pangkat Ugnayaw, said that the members of the city hall dance troop want to use their talent in dancing to be able to help those who are in dire need of help, especially employees of the local government and their dependents who had been diagnosed for life-threatening illnesses.
He named the beneficiary of the group’s Zumba for a Cause as Jhanzel Reignhope Palomar, 18 months old, who had been diagnosed for CHD, FAD, pulmonary hypertension down’s syndrome and needs to undergo PDA transcatheter occlusion.
Mole claimed that the group also plans to conduct a similar fund raising activity in the coming weeks to raise resources for the medical needs of another potential beneficiary that approached them for help after learning about the successful conduct of their Zumba for a Cause.
He expressed the group’s gratitude to all those, who in one way or another, contributed for the successful conduct of the fund raising activity with the hope that such support will be extended to similar activities in the future for the benefit of those who are really in need of assistance to sustain their medical needs.
The Pangkat Ugnayaw or the city hall dance group leads the regular physical fitness activity of local government officials and employees as part of the Monday flag raising program being conducted at the city hall grounds.
