193 runners join Run, Inspire, Impact in Tabuk

CALANAN TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The Youth for Peace-Cordillera Youth Brigade (YFP-CYB), with the support of the 503rd Infantry (Peace and Justice) Brigade and 5IDivision of the Philippine Army, organized and facilitated a 7.2 Km Color Fun Run with the slogan “Run, Inspire, Impact” on June 3, 2023.
Over one hundred ninety-three (193) participants coming from the different sectors, local government units, government line agencies, private sectors, Philippine National Police and Bureau of Fire Protection counterparts and other stakeholder partners in the city and province joined the fun run.
The 7.2 Km fun run started at the 503rd Brigade Headquarters in Brgy. Calanan all the way to the Rotonda, near the KPH in Brgy. Bulanao, Tabuk City and back.
The activity intends to raise money for the YFP-CYB’s numerous peace programs, which will assist in combating the communist groups’ recruitment of young people and address the core causes of the ongoing insurgency crisis that is plaguing the nation and even the Province of Kalinga.
By encouraging participants to join the run, the event also hopes to assist the city and provincial governments in their pursuit of true and lasting peace while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, it motivates participants to consistently support all of the YFP-CYB’s programs, initiatives, and advocacy efforts.
Ltc Richard L Dela Cruz- 503Bde, Executive Officer expressed his gratitude to the YFP-CYB for organizing the successful activity. According to him, he was certain that the young people enjoyed themselves and found each moment of the event memorable. He is also hopeful that the YFP-CYB members have gained new knowledge about heroism throughout the duration of the event. By Tabuk CPIO
