Camp Major Bado, Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – Police Regional Office Cordillera’s continuous campaign against illegal drugs resulted to the eradication of a total of Php 2,640,000.00 worth of marijuana plants in Bakun and Kibungan, Benguet on March 8, 2021.
Citing the reports of Benguet PPO Director, PCOL REYNALDO PASIWEN, Benguet operatives conducted a marijuana eradication operation in Bakun that led to the discovery of 6,400 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 1,280,000.00 planted on a communal forest in Sitio Kinmayad, Brgy Kayapa with an estimated land area of 800 square meters.
On the same day, another operation was conducted in Sitio Lamagan, Tacadang, Kibungan that resulted to the discovery of 800 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants with SDP of Php 160,000.00 planted on a public lot with an estimated land area of 200 square meters. In addition, operatives also found 10 kilograms of dried marijuana stalks amounting to SDP of Php 1,200,000.00 from the area.
All marijuana plants discovered were uprooted and burned on site. Operatives only brought samples for evidentiary purposes. (PROCOR RPIO)
