BAGUIO CITY – Two persons were arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having found in their possession suspected illegal drugs during an operation at Middle Quezon Hill, here, Wednesday.
Police authorities identified the arrested duo as Akiya Senna Lugares Velasco and Tyron Briones.
Initial police investigation showed police operatives served a warrant of arrest against Velasco for estafa but when he was frisked, he was found to be in possession of two plastic sachets containing shabu.
Police operatives were forced to also frisked Briones for being unruly during the operation which resulted to the discovery of one plastic sachet containing alleged shabu.
Velasco was in the target list of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for being an alleged notorious drug personality.
The arrested individuals and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the BCPO headquarters for documentation awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against them before the city prosecutor’s office.
