BUGUIAS, Benguet – Two suspected drug traders were arrested by combined police operatives and narcotics agents after having been caught red-handed having in their possession alleged shabu and illegal drug paraphernalia during a reported pot session inside a building along Halsema highway, here, Friday.
Senior Superintendent Florante Camuyot, officer-in-charge of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested individuals as Marvin dela Cruz and Annielyn Jemina who are alleged suspected drug traders in the locality with no definite addresses.
Confiscated from the possession of dela Cruz were a red pouch and black sun glass case containing several pieces of transparent sachets with alleged shabu residue having a total volume of 0.95 grams while recovered from the bag of Jemina were several plastic sachets containing shabu residence weighing more or less 0.40 grams.
The alleged pot session was brought to the attention of the police operatives by no less than the owner of the building who accompanied them to the second floor of the structure where such session was being done by the suspects.
The arrested individuals and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Buguias Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to the filing of charges of violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law against them.
