PINUKPUK, Kalinga – Two suspected drug pushers were arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having found in their possession alleged illegal drugs and assorted illegal drug paraphernalia during a buy bust operation at sitio Marucdot, Junction Pinukpuk, here, recently.
Senior Superintendent Victor Wanchakan, officer-in-charge of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested two drug personalities as Leonito Castillo Jr. aka “Jun,” 37, married, farmer, and a resident of Bagumbayan, Tuao, Cagayan; and Oscar Rodriguez Mangwag, 42, married, farmer, and a resident of Sitio Kalbayan, Kattabbogan, Pinukpuk, Kalinga.
Confiscated from their possession by the arresting team were 2 heat sealed transparent sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu; 1 piece of Php500.00 bill used as buy bust money; and 2 motorcycles.
The arrested drug personalities and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Pinukpuk Municipal Police Station for documentation awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against them before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
