BAGUIO CITY – Two construction workers were hurt after they were manhandled by three still unidentified male suspects at the biking area of Burnham Park here recently.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, acting city director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the victims as Jomel Trinidad Calubaquib, 33, married, and Arnold Cayaban Arquero, 41, married, construction worker, both are temporarily billeted at AP Barracks, Camp Allen, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that the two victims were seated on a bench in the biking area when still unidentified individuals suddenly went beside them and hit Jornel on his right ear.
Sensing danger, Jornel immediately ran and reported the incident to the security guard but the suspects mauled Arnold and fled towards an undisclosed direction.
Responding police operatives were not able to arrest the suspects when scouring the area while concerned citizens brought the victims to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment.
