TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Two local cooperatives signed today a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on ‘Sisterhood’ program of the City Cooperatives and Enterprise Development Office (CCEDO).
The Cooperatives involved were the Bulanao Multipurpose Cooperative and the Lubo Business Based Guin-awa Multipurpose Cooperative (LBBGMPC).
During the Koop Kapehan Program held today at LBBGMPC office, Program Development Officer III Engr. Ronald Ryan Jose said that this agreement between the two cooperatives aims to foster cooperation, develop collaborative programs, and establish a long lasting relationship as well as the exchange of experience and initiatives on areas of mutual interest such as investments, education and training and community programs.
Jose said that the two parties have set of responsibilities to fulfill and to live up the value cooperation among cooperatives.
Both parties agree on the following collaborative programs on the conduct of in-house training, coaching, tutorial on basic bookkeeping and delinquency control; assist in the promotion and marketing of the services or products of the cooperative; and make investment thru savings or time deposits. Likewise, they agree to allow the program coordinators of the CCEDO to document the progress of the program for filing or documentation and for press release, Jose explained.
During the activity, the following topics were presented: 1) Coop Loan Payment Protection Insurance and Group Accidental Death, Disablement and Dismemberment Insurance by Emerson Tattao, Regional Sales Manager of the CLIMBS Life & General Insurance Coop; 2) Coop compensation & honorarium presented by Engr. Ronald Ryan Jose.
