LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Two drug personalities were arrested while more than P9.9 million worth of illegal drugs were destroyed by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents during a week-long aggressive anti-illegal drug operations in the different parts of the Cordillera from October 7-14, 2024.
During the weeklong campaign, PRO-CAR conducted a total of 15 operations across the provinces of Benguet, Kalinga, and Mountain Province, and in the city of Baguio, that resulted in the confiscation of 525 pieces of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants and 16.60 grams of suspected shabu with an overall value of P9,954,085.00.
The most significant operations took place in Benguet, where the Cabalyero Cops of Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) eradicated marijuana plants worth P8,641,000.00, and in Kalinga, where the Lumin-awa Cops of Kalinga PPO also eradicated marijuana plants worth P1,200,000.00.
Additionally, in Baguio City, the Napino Cops of Baguio City Police Office arrested a Street Level Individual and recovered suspected shabu valued at P92,480.00, while in Mountain Province, the Inayan Cops of Mountain Province PPO apprehended a High Value Individual and confiscated suspected shabu worth P20,605.00.
