Pudtol, Apayao August 15 – Two persons were injured after they tried to hack each other during an altercation at Dona Loreta, here, Monday.
Police authorities identified the wounded individuals as Marvin Alaban Tailan, 52, widower, and Raymundo Subngay Iddig, 50, married, both residents of Dona Loreta, Pudtol, Apayao.
Initial police investigation showed that Iddig went to the house of Tailan to confront him and he was not able to see him in his residence, the former vent his ire on the latter’s plants and destroyed them.
Upon arrival in his residence, Tailan inquired from his neighbors on who destroyed his plants and while doing so, Iddig appeared and hacked him on his left arm.
Tailan, who was also armed with a bolo, retaliated and hacked Iddig on his right arm.
Both individuals were rushed to the Ama Jadsak District Hospital for medical treatment but they were both transferred to the Far North General Hospital and Training Center for further treatment.
The case is still subject to further investigation to ascertain the root cause of the incident.
