BAGUIO CITY – Two persons were injured after they were repeatedly stabbed by a knife-wielding suspect inside a liquor establishment at Upper Mabini St., here, recently.
Senior Superintendent Ramil L. Saculles, City Director of the Baguio City Police Office office (BCPO), identified the victims as Jeric Velasco Fabia, 20, single, Student, and a resident of Lopez Jeana, Aurora Hill, Baguio City and Rodrigo Suyat Gango, 18, single, student, and a resident of Aquino Street, Quezon Hill, Baguio City while he named the arrested suspect as a certain Jay-ar Obida Spaña, 20, single, unemployed, and a resident of Gibraltar, Baguio City..
Initial investigation showed the victims and their companions were having a drinking session inside a night establishment when the suspect arrived and jointed them while uttering unsavoury words that resulted into a commotion among them.
After a few moments, the suspect suddenly pulled out a folded knife and started swinging the same hitting the victims on the different parts of their bodies.
The victims were rushed by their companions to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives and awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against him before the city prosecutor’s office.
