BAGUIO CITY – Two occupants of a closed van were injured after their vehicle fell into a shallow ravine at Lower Balacbac, Sto. Tomas Proper, here, early Tuesday morning.
Police authorities said that the rescued victims were immediately rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment following their being extricated from the ill-fated closed van.
Residents were disturbed from their sleep after they heard a loud noise emanating from the area where the vehicle fell and immediately sought the assistance of concerned authorities.
The helper of the said truck was the first to be extricated from the ill-fated vehicle while it took some time for rescuers to move the driver out after he was pinned into the wreckage of the vehicle.
Probers are still conducting an investigation on the cause of the said incident. By Dexter A. See
