BANGUED, Abra July 21 – Two persons were injured after they were hacked by their own uncle during a heated altercation inside their residence at Ubbog-Lipcan, here, Wednesday.
Police authorities identified the injured individuals as Francis Llaneza Javier, 20, single, construction worker and Jeannette Llaneza Javier, 24, single while the suspect was named as their own uncle, Jay-ar Viado Llaneza, 29, single, unemployed, all residents of Ubbog-Lipcan, Bangued, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and the suspect had a drinking session inside their residence when the former became unruly and started provoking trouble.
The suspect tried to pacify the victim but he allegedly boxed his face that propted the latter to get a knife and hacked the victim several times hitting him on the different parts of his body. When the victim’s sister tried to pacify the duo, she was accidentally hit by the wayward knife that inflicted injuries on her left hand.
The victim and his sister were rushed by concerned neighbors to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives to face the consequence of his actions.
