TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Two persons were hurt after they were shot by a still unidentified gunman inside the Sandy-uy liquor establishment along Mayangao St., Dagupan Centro here around 1:24 am Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent George Daskeo, provincial director of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the wounded shooting victims as Moore Pulgao Pinated, 26, single, driver, presently residing at Purok 6, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga; and Rey Joseph Tagayong Taeza, 27, single, singer, and a resident of Nasgueban, Appas, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Initial police investigation showed the victims were currently having a drinking session when five male individuals on board two motorcycles suddenly arrived and ordered liquor in the same establishment.
During th3e course of their drinking sessions, one of the suspects had a misunderstanding with Pinaten that caused the former to shot him. AS a result of the shooting incident, Pinaten sustained a gunshot wound on his right toe with the bullet also hitting his companion Taeza.
Both victims were rushed to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital for medical treatment while responding police operatives recovered from the crime scene a motorcycle and a spent shell and deformed slug of a calibre .9mm pistol used in the perpetration of the crime.
The suspects reportedly fled from the crime scene but efforts are being undertaken to locate the whereabouts of the gunman.
