BONTOC, Mountain Province – The provincial government recognized two more centenarians on two different occasions on February 11, 2025.
Provincial officials led by Gov. Bonifacio “Boni” Lacwasan Jr. personally handed over a PhP50,000 cash incentive, a plaque of appreciation and a Sangguniang Panlalawigan Congratulatory Resolution to Romay Chayag Pallisit of Demang, Sadanga for reaching the age of 100 years old and qualifying as a centenarian under Provincial Ordinance 192 of the province.
The turnover was witnessed by the centenarian’s family and friends while the Governor was accompanied by Vice Gov. Francis O. Tauli, Board Members Ezra Samson A. Gomez and Joshua B. Fronda, personnel from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office headed by Department Head Jackielyn O. Guitangen and personnel from the Sadanga Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.
In Bauko, 100-year-old Maxima Pal-iwen Pasian of Otucan Sur received the same recognition and incentive from Governor Lacwasan and Provincial Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative Tomas B. Tawagen. The turnover was witnessed by her family and some barangay officials.
The provincial officials said that the provincial government continues to provide the Mountain Province centenarians with the financial support that they deserve apart from celebrating their longevity.
According to Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Guitangen, the two centenarians are also entitled to receive the cash incentive from the centenarian award of the national government. By Hail, MP
