CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Twenty wanted persons were successively arrested by police operatives in separate operations regionwide recently.
Chief Superintendent Ulysses G. Abellera, regional director of the Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Cordillera, said among those arrested were two members of organized crime groups and two members of a gun fir hire group operating in the region.
Through the combined operatives of Tadian and Bauko Municipal Police Stations, two robbers identified as Morris J. Bandoc, 28, a resident of Happy Hallow, Baguio City and Monico E. Hernaez, 28, driver and a laborer, native of Mabalite, Tadian, Mountain Province were arrested in a follow-up operation in the morning of December 1, 2015 at Poblacion Bauko, Mountain Province. Police recovered stolen items like computer sets, camera and other pieces of evidence in the grassy area beside the road at Bunga, Tadian, Mountain Province.
This organized crime group is responsible in robbing the Masla National High School and Cabunagan Elementary School, both at Tadian, Mountain Province and Abatan National High School in Bauko Mountain Province last Sunday and Monday and also linked to the series of Motornapping and Robbery incident operating in Mountain Province and the City of Baguio.
In Abra, three individuals charged for the crime of Murder were arrested: Two alleged Gun-for-Hire landed in jail after being nabbed in their respective residences for shooting of the former barangay Capt. Alejandro Baay of barangay Cosili East, Bangued, Abra that resulted to his death sometime on April 2015. Suspect identified as Benjamin Dacuyan Rapisora, 33, a resident of barangay Angad, Bangued, Abra was nabbed in the afternoon of December 2, 2015 while Randy Mercurio Calibuso, 28, a resident of Barangay Cabuloan, Bangued, Abra was arrested in the early morning of the following day. PROCOR Police jailed the suspects by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Raphiel F Alzate, of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 1, Bangued, Abra with no bail recommended for their temporary liberty.
Another arrested wanted person was a female suspect charged for the same offense identified as Nerita Penson Pascua, 54, native of Ilog, Baliwag, Quezon, Nueva Ecija and presently residing at FD 23-1 Tebteb, Balili, La Trinidad was arrested in the afternoon of December 2, 2015 in Tebteb, Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet.
The joint Tracker Teams of La Trinidad MPS and Quezon MPS, Quezon, Nueva Ecija detained the suspect by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Teresita Nicolas Cativo, Presiding Judge of the RTC Br. 25, Cabanatuan City with no bail recommended.
In addition to the several accomplishments of PRO-COR, 15 other wanted individuals were also arrested in the different parts of the region of which mostly are cases of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Physical Injuries and Estafa.
Abellera congratulated the PRO-COR Team for the job well done for the strict implementation of weekly PRO-COR Lambat-Sibat gaining numerous arrests of wanted persons weekly.
The result of the close and continuous monitoring of the Acting Regional Director on the full implementation of Oplan Lambat-Sibat in PROCOR fosters the dedication and commitment of police force on their major duties and responsibilities.
PRO-COR is appealing to the public that those who may have been victimized by these criminals over the past months, or in the past years, may report to the nearest police station to file complaint against them.
