Application for the 2019 Junior Level Science Scholarships (JLSS) of the Department of Science and Technology–Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) is ongoing until April 26, 2019 while examination of applicants is scheduled on June 2 of this year.
Eligible applicants are natural-born Filipino citizens who are regular second year college students enrolled in identified S&T priority courses for the second semester of Academic Year 2018-2019. Applicants must have a general weighted average (GWA) of at least 83% or its equivalent in his/ her first year and the first semester of the second year in college.
All qualified scholars will enjoy the following privileges: tuition and other school fees amounting to P40,000.00 per year; book allowance of P10,000.00 per year; premium group insurance; transportation allowance of one economy- class roundtrip fare for those studying outside their home province; monthly living allowance of P7,000.00; summer allowance, if required per curriculum; 1,500 for tuition and other school fees; 500 book allowance with corresponding official receipt; and P7,000 monthly allowance per month for two months; and post- graduation clothing allowance amounting to P1,000.00.
JLSS application forms may be secured at the DOST-CAR Scholarship Unit, BSU Compound. Km. 6, La Trinidad, Benguet or it can also be downloaded from the DOST-SEI website: www.sei.dost.gov.ph.
