LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Twenty-one wanted persons were successfully arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents during the implementation of an aggressive anti-criminality campaign in the different parts of the region from November 3-9, 2024.
During the weeklong operations, Baguio City Police Office (CPO) recorded the highest number of arrests, apprehending ten wanted persons, followed by Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) with six arrests, Ifugao and Mountain Province PPOs with two arrests each, and Kalinga PPO with one arrest.
Of the 21 apprehended individuals, two were identified as Most Wanted Persons at the Provincial Level, who were arrested for violation of R.A. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and for the crime of theft.
Moreover, as a result of the heightened police presence, 64 municipalities across various provinces in the region and six police stations in Baguio City were peaceful during this period, as they recorded no crime incidents.
Specifically, zero crime incidents were reported in 21 municipalities in Abra, ten municipalities each in Benguet and Mountain Province, nine municipalities in Ifugao, and seven municipalities each in Apayao and Kalinga, while in Baguio City, Police Station (PS) 3, PS5, PS6, PS7, PS8, and PS10 also recorded zero crime incidents.
